City Praise & Prayer first began in 2013. Over the last ten years, we have been drawing Christians together twice a year from across Coventry and the surrounding region, to worship together and to pray with one voice for the Kingdom of God to come in our city and beyond. This is very much a ‘combined churches’ event, organised and led by various church leaders from different denominations and networks, and typically attracting several hundreds of believers from scores of different congregations.
In 2023, we will be gathering on Sunday 4 June and Sunday 12 November.
City Praise & Prayer is currently steered by a Planning Team consisting of:
Martin Storey (CLM Church)
Eniiwaju Etomi (RCCG)
Andrew Simpkins (Jubilee Church)
Gaz Hutchinson (Elim Coventry)
CITY PRAISE & PRAYER IN THE CATHEDRAL RUINS
On Sunday 15 May 2022, we took City Praise & Prayer beyond the walls of a physical church building for the first time - gathering over 1200 believers from churches across the city to pray and worship in Coventry’s famous Cathedral Ruins. The event was a truly momentous occasion, that will be remembered for many years to come. Please see below for a recording from the evening, along with some of the photographs that were captured.
